Dustin Johnson playing trade in Premier Gold Tour

Dustin Johnson is a professional golfer from the United States of America who is currently plying his trade with one of the premier golf tours in the world, the US PGA Tour.
Johnson is one of the longest drivers in the world at the moment and he was a constant present in the driving distance rankings of the US PGA Tour and ranked on that list for three consecutive seasons between 2009 and 2013.

Johnson has been a regular inside the top ten of the Official World Golf Rankings and has reached a career high ranking of fourth once in his career.

Born in South Carolina, Dustin Johnson played collegiate golf for Coastal Carolina University, winning the Northeast Amateur and the Monroe Invitation tournaments in 2007 and also played on the Walker Cup and Palmer Cup winning teams for the United States of America.

Johnson is the first professional player since Tiger Woods to win at least one tournament each year for the first seven years since coming out of college.

He turned professional in 2007 and earned his card for the US PGA Tour the following year. He won his first tournament as a professional towards the end of his first season when he clinched the Turning Stone Resort Championship. Johnson has had a successful career as a professional since then and things were looking very bright for him when, out of the blue, he announced in July 2014 that he was taking a sabbatical to deal with some personal challenges.

It soon emerged that Dustin Johnson was suspended by the US PGA for failing a drugs test for cocaine for the third time but that has been denied by the US PGA which said that he took a voluntary break from the sport and will be back in 2015.
