Future Champions Golf continues to excel in helping junior golfers get to the collegiate level through competition, coaching and guidance.   If you are a junior golfer, a parent of a junior golfer, a coach of a junior golfer please take a minute to read through what we have been able to do for our hard working passionate junior golfers.  It has been our mission since day 1 to provide another system to help you get to the highest level you choose in golf by providing awesome competitions and experiences that fuel your passion for the game and the desire to compete at the highest level.

• Over 3500 Junior Golfers who have participated in Future Champions Golf are now in college or have already graduated from college.
• College Coaches recruit heavily on the FCG Tour and especially at all of our FCG World Series Events.  Here are some stats from the past few years:
  • 38 College Coaches at the 2018 FCG National Championship
  • 40 College Coaches at the 2021 FCG International Junior Golf Championship
  • 30 College Coaches at the 2021 FCG Callaway World Championship
• Did you know we email all US College Coaches each month with highlights from the Tour and give the coaches access to contact our players should they want to potentially recruit someone?
• FCG staff annually attends the National College Coaches Convention and we now have personal relationships with over 100 schools and have made sure all schools know about the FCG program.  Coaches can access players resumes on our website via the FCG Recruit system.
• FCG provides free webinars throughout the year and also special guest speakers at select events to help give you the right information to help your son or daughter get the collegiate level.
• College Coaches contact us weekly looking for players.  There are a few schools that have reached out within the past couple weeks looking for 2018 Graduates to start this fall… Anyone still looking please email us!

FCG is your pathway to the PGA and LPGA Tour

Our alumni are really starting to shine on the PGA and LPGA Tours with the recent PGA Tour victory from long time member Aaron Wise who grew up in Corona, CA and was a regular competitor in FCG World Series and National Tour events.  Aaron won the FCG National Championship his senior year of high school, was recruited by Casey Martin to compete and attend the University of Oregon where he went on to win the NCAA Championship. He then turned professional and quickly won on the PGA Tour Canada, then won on the Web.com Tour, and now is a PGA Tour Winner!

Ariya Jutanugarn recently claimed her 8th LPGA Tour Win while her sister Moriya recently won her first LPGA event.  Both Jutanugarn sisters won our 2009 FCG International Junior Golf Championship.

2017 PGA Tour Rookie of the Year – Xander Schauffele is a past FCG Tour partcipant growing up in San Diego, CA.  He finished in 17th place at the FCG National Championship his senior year… Now is a 2-Time PGA Tour Winner.

In this episode, Christopher Smeal the founder of Future Champions Golf joins us to tell some of his story and what led him to build a multi level junior tour that helps young golfers develop their games through competition.

He also dives into his role as a passionate teacher to grow the game and help young players in their journey. Chris was recently named to the 2019-20 Golf Digest Best Teachers in California and also received the 2019 Southern California PGA Player Development Award.

12/18: Pace of Play Tips

Hey all!  We wanted to share some Pace of Play Tips for Junior Golfers and Parents competing on the FCG Kids Tour and FCG KBS One Day Series Events.  This can be used at all levels but this is specific to these tournament levels.

#1 – Play ready golf and be ready to go.  

The only time you need to play in order is off the first tee when they announce your name.

#2 – Walk with Purpose

Walk quickly to your next shot, start your prep work on your walk, get your information, then react and play.

#3 – Be a team out there

Players and if there are caddies should work together with a purpose to play fast.  You will play better if the flow is better. Slow play is not fun but nothing can be done to help if everyone doesn’t do their part.

#4 – Put your bag on the fringe closest to the next tee box

Efficiency is key to save time out there.  If you can put your bag on the side of the green closest to the next tee will save a few seconds.

#5 – Be Organized 

Being a great player means you can handle all the things going on in a golf tournament including playing at the proper pace.  This needs to be an active part of your player development and not under looked.  Your organizational skills include being prepared before the first tee announcements (Ball, Ball Marker, Tees, Scorecard, Pencil, Range Finder)  You need a system for each of these things to manage them quickly and efficiently.

#6 – Keep up with the Group in Front of You

Obviously you can’t go faster than the group ahead of you so stay up with them. The definition of being behind them in the proper place is on par 4’s to arrive to the tee as the group ahead is finishing hitting their approach shots.

#7 – We would like the player who putts out first to head to the next tee and tee off

Be cautious and respectful as you walk to the next tee but go and get started on your routine and hit to keep pace moving.  Especially if your group is behind this has to happen!
