Bubba Watson returns

American pro golfer Bubba Watson’s recent performance in Thailand Golf Championship took him back to the top – ten in the men’s golf rankings. Bubba Watson tied for the 2nd at the Asian Tour event and jumped to 8th spot from number twelve in the updated rankings on Monday. The American golfer pushed 4 golfers, including Webb Simpson, who now stands at eleventh spot, each down one position.

Charl Schwartzel had 3 seven-under-par 65s on the way to a twenty five – under total of 263 in winning the tournament in Thailand by eleven strokes. He went up to 4 spots to the twenty third in the rankings. Thitphun Chuayprakong tied with Bubba Watson for the 2nd spot and now he has crossed more than four hundred spots to sit at number 284.

Scott Jamieson clinched the Nelson Mandela Championships, the very first event of the 2012 – 13 European Tour calendar, played in South Africa. His win moved him to 115th position from the 167th spot in the rankings.
Rory McIlroy heads the rankings list with 13.805 average points; whereas English golf player Luke Donald is at the 2nd position with 9.129 and American golfer Tiger Woods is at number three with 8.902.

Justin Rose stats at 4th spot with 6.688; followed by Louis Oosthuizen at 5th with 6.375, Lee Westwood at 6th with 6.371 and Adam Scott at 7th with 6.368. Simpson, who is at number ten, has an average of 5.445.
